Garage Band Composition Workshop

N.B. - Schools booking this workshop must have tablets for each pupil, pre-loaded with Garage Band. Any bookings made without this cannot be fulfilled

Our GarageBand composition workshop introduces pupils to digital music-making through creative, hands-on exploration of melody, harmony, rhythm and structure. Using iPads and GarageBand, students learn how to build tracks using loops, virtual instruments and simple recording techniques, developing original musical ideas in a modern, accessible way.

The workshop supports the Music National Curriculum by developing compositional skills, listening, evaluation and musical decision-making. Pupils gain confidence using music technology while working collaboratively to create, refine and share their own compositions, gaining insight into how contemporary music is created across a wide range of styles.
